The Inner World is a 2D point-and-click adventure game participated in a world named Asposia inside the globe. One of the life important source – air (here presented as wind) – is provided by 3 great wind fountains. But one after another went dry and only one is somehow functional. It’s enough to keep Asposia habitable, but what if it will go dry too? Is that the reason why the wind gods are mad at the Aspoians? There must be something smelly behind this all can you find out what?
Edna & Harvey: Harvey’s New Eyes is an extraordinary point-and-click adventure created by Daedalic Entertainment GmbH – the creators of the award winning games “The Whispered World” and “Deponia”. They had made another adventure named Edna & Harvey before – it is called “The Breakout”. In contrast Harvey’s New Eyes’s protagonist isn’t Edna like in “The Breakout” but Lilli – her best friend. It all starts in a garden behind a monastery, where Lilli is trying to rake up leaves on the ground, and the narrator welcomes you to the game.
Candle is a beautiful 2D point-and-click adventure. It has very original hand-painted graphic and professional audio. The story is full of human errors and their corrections. It’s about how too much ambitions and greed caused destruction of a sophisticated civilization and in an effort to cut an end to violence, the shamans have created a disaster. In order to save the world from fifth destruction Teku has to save his tribe’s shaman, solve challenging puzzles, defeat Wakchas and reveal the truth.
Just Ignore Them is a short pixel-graphic point-and-click adventure with slightly horror atmosphere. It has multiple endings and they’re based on your choices. To be exact a good one and a bad one. To achieve the good one, you have to behave well. To play the bad one, just kill someone when you have the chance. So there’s no science. What I really like is how open and uncensored are the dialogs between two main characters. Yes, Just Ignore Them warns you in the beginning that it contains violence, strong language and disturbing graphic. But c’mon pixelated disturbing graphic doesn’t even count. It’s pixelated… Even though Just Ignore Them managed to stay creepy and messed-up in the right way.
Detention is an atmospheric psychological horror game set in a fictitious world in the 1960s Taiwan under martial law. It’s a story-driven side-scrolling video game enriched of unique East Asian / Taiwanese cultural references, which in fact is something refreshing and rare. The story is well-told and emotional. And one important thing – it isn’t based on jump-scares at all. All fear is in your mind.
DCWS is a „short“ point-and-click horror adventure, which can break down your patience and lower your self-esteem. Everything takes place mainly in protagonist’s bedroom. Shortly what’s going on in this game. You are playing as a male protagonist and a strange girl is chatting with you. Well, it seems that you had some relationship with her, but you don’t remember. Strange things start happening to you. Precisely you start dying at every corner. And your goal is to find out, what does Lucy want from you.
Face Noir is a 2.5D detective point and click adventure with a grim sepia filter and serious atmosphere. You will play as a private eye – Jack Del Nero, who somehow lives from day to day like most people after the collapse of the New York Stock Exchange. His only pleasure are cigarettes and whiskey, which he generally can’t afford and his job as a private detective doesn’t earn much. But one day he answers the call from his old colleague, who was involved in a pretty tangled cobweb of underworld.
The story begins at the end to entice you, then of course you will play retrospectively to find out why it happened. Because I don’t want to spoil the whole story, let’s continue with parameters, which can be reviewed without interfering with the plot. Continue reading Face Noir – PC Game Review→
First of all, this review is based purely on Supreme League of Patriots Issue 1: A Patriot Is Born. I have part 2 & 3 too but didn’t play them yet.
I am very confused to be honest. I’m a big fan of adventure games but this one didn’t fulfil my expectations. I will begin with the main duo – Kyle and Mel. Well, the authors tried to put a lot of factual, prejudicial, problematic and ethical messages in their pretty long dialogues. I appreciate their effort but the game is overloaded with it and I’m not counting the celebrity insinuations. (I didn’t understand them because I didn’t know someone like that exist… Except Mila Kunis ofc.) I’m a philosophical person and like to think about things Continue reading Supreme League of Patriots Issue 1: A Patriot Is Born – PC Game Review→
