Edna & Harvey: Harvey’s New Eyes – PC Game Review

What is Edna & Harvey: Harvey’s New Eyes

Edna & Harvey: Harvey’s New Eyes is an extraordinary point-and-click adventure created by Daedalic Entertainment GmbH – the creators of the award winning games “The Whispered World” and “Deponia”. They had made another adventure named Edna & Harvey before – it is called “The Breakout”. In contrast Harvey’s New Eyes’s protagonist isn’t Edna like in “The Breakout” but Lilli – her best friend. It all starts in a garden behind a monastery, where Lilli is trying to rake up leaves on the ground, and the narrator welcomes you to the game.

The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile – PC Game Review

What is The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile

The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile is a brutal fast-paced action platformer. It’s gruesome, violent and full of action. The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile was originally released in 2011 on Xbox 360. From 12 May, 2017 it’s upgraded version is available on STEAM. The art style is characteristic for Ska Studios. I played their souls-like game Salt and Sanctuary before The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile and the art style is identical. No shame. It’s still unique and remarkable and what’s more important it fits the game styles their making.

Just Ignore Them – PC Game Review

What is Just Ignore Them

Just Ignore Them is a short pixel-graphic point-and-click adventure with slightly horror atmosphere. It has multiple endings and they’re based on your choices. To be exact a good one and a bad one. To achieve the good one, you have to behave well. To play the bad one, just kill someone when you have the chance. So there’s no science. What I really like is how open and uncensored are the dialogs between two main characters. Yes, Just Ignore Them warns you in the beginning that it contains violence, strong language and disturbing graphic. But c’mon pixelated disturbing graphic doesn’t even count. It’s pixelated… Even though Just Ignore Them managed to stay creepy and messed-up in the right way.

What is Leaving Lyndow

Leaving Lyndow is a very short 3D first-person exploration adventure with a beautiful graphic and details. It tells a story about Clara, a girl that lives her dream that she really worked hard for. It’s her last day in her hometown, which is the right time for saying her goodbyes to everyone and every favourite place. Goodbyes are mostly hard and emotional, but it’s also relieving when she knows that her mom supports her in everything she’s doing. But not everyone is like her mom. She also has to face criticism from her uncle.

Detention – PC Game Review

What is Detention

Detention is an atmospheric psychological horror game set in a fictitious world in the 1960s Taiwan under martial law. It’s a story-driven side-scrolling video game enriched of unique East Asian / Taiwanese cultural references, which in fact is something refreshing and rare. The story is well-told and emotional. And one important thing – it isn’t based on jump-scares at all. All fear is in your mind.

Rise & Shine – PC Game Review

Close your eyes and imagine that this whole planet is a big game. What was it like? Can you even imagine it? If you can’t, Rise & Shine will easily show you! Hold your hats, because this will be very special and often very nerve-wracking ride full of challenges and fun.

I get it. You aren’t much smarter from the initial callout, so let’s start over again from the beginning and I will try my best to introduce Rise & Shine to you. Rise & Shine is a 2D game, which on the first sight looks like a classic old-school arcade game. But that could be only your first impression! Although you’ll enjoy a lot of shooting and guts on the street, the most of the time in the game you will be rather thinking over a strategy how to survive current fight more than how to blow up someone’s head and look in the bowels of his thoughts in the brain as Dumbledore in the Harry Potter movie!
